Moonrise Kingdom 9.2

From the mind of director Wes Anderson, Moonrise Kingdom is about two kids, Sam (Jared Gilman) and Suzy (Kara Hayward), who fall in love and run away from home on a small island. As they explore the island, a group of adults attempts to find them.

Wow, I love this movie. Wes Anderson has made some of my favorite movies, but this is probably his best. From the moment I saw¬†Sam and Suzy together, I fell in love. In fact, I loved all of the characters in there quirky way. It’s a funny thing that I strive to have a relationship like those two 12-year-olds. It really felt like it was from the point of view of a child (and I mean that in the best way possible).

Even if I had no idea what was going on, I would still be captivated by the shots, which are interesting enough to be their own pieces of art. I only wish I could live in one of his movies, and see like that every day.
